I lead platform engineering at United Wholesale Mortgage. I have two small kids who think my job is "computer." On balance, they're right.

About.
I'm Casimer — cg4 to most people. I lead a platform team at a mortgage company and I'm dad to two small humans.
I've spent the better part of a decade building the unglamorous middle layer: the pricing engines, deploy tooling, and internal platforms nobody notices until they break. I have a soft spot for boring software that ships sixty times a day and a healthy distrust of anything that calls itself revolutionary.
These days that means leading a small team at UWM, writing more Rust than is strictly necessary, and trying to leave the codebase — and the people in it — a little better than I found it. The rest of my time is negotiated, in real time, with a four-year-old and a toddler.
